We went back down the beach today and my wife, Mary Ann, got this with a D Rebel and a 70-200L f4. The sun wasn't too cooperative but we managed a few decent ones. More to come...... smile

Shot these today at Barnegat Bay, NJ. I wish the sun were shining a bit more but it beats hanging around the house! smile

I spotted these doves in the backyard today so I leaned out the door and snapped off some shots.

I recently bought an Orion 80ED from a fellow Amarter and I think it might be a keeper. This Chickadee is unprocessed except for cropping.

Digiscoping with 80ED

Hi Guys,

I also tried the ED80 with The D Rebel and a Scopetronix Maxview 40. I was using an EOS 50 f1.8 lens and shooting through a Lomo correct image prism diagonal. This mourning dove was on my neighbor's shed about 80 feet away. I cropped and resized the image. Also used the Unsharp Mask.

My wife shot this today in failing light at Island Beach State Park, NJ. The view is looking due east and the ocean is about 200 yards away. I adjusted the curves and resized in PS7.0, the original was a little too dark. She was using a D Rebel and a 200L 2.8 with a Kenko MC7 2x teleconverter.

Clear Skies,

Steve

Great Blue Heron

I shot this Saturday at Island beach State Park. The west wind was steady at 25 mph and gusting to 45. This bird was back in the marsh using the brush as a windbreak. He was about 200 feet away and I was using a hand held D Rebel and a Canon 400 f5.6. the pic is untouched except for resizing.

Merganser ID?

I shot these last Saturday at Barnegat Bay in NJ. I think they're Red-Breasted Mergansers but I'm not sure about it. They were about 100yds away and I was using a hand held Digital Rebel with a Canon 400 f5.6.

Steve
