Nice job Anthony!! 8O
I can remember catching a glimpse once through the eyepiece of the ISS & shuttle. What a great accomplishment to photograph them in transit!

Another pier design to critique

I think it will work fine! Just don't pour your mud to wet. The wetter it is the more shrinking it will do. Also you could spray some concrete bonder on the inside of your tube! And you might investigate the use of "Bentonite" in your concrete mix! Good luck with your project! 8)

I spent a couple hours out this morning. And I also spotted about 40 and about 10 of those were nice and bright with a noticeable trail. 8)

Good Telescope Making book?

Try "All about Telescopes" by Sam Brown
Thats the book I used to make my first scope. It explains quite simply the process. How to build testing equipment. And covers simple equatorial mounts too! No photos but lots of drawings. Probably not the latest info but was easy enough to follow that this old concrete man could do it! 8)
