Thanks for all your kind words! yes the temp is dropping a little already! I have begun work on the front door and have the slot door almost working. I just have a little weather sealing to do and then "FIRST LIGHT"!! Probably in Oct. I think. grin I will keep you posted!

Sliders vs. Domes

I may be jumping the gun a little bit because I haven't moved into the dome yet. But just being in there at night ,looking through the slot I can already tell the dome is going to be far superior to my roll off roof that I had before I moved here! Just the stray light blockage in my area will be worth it! Although in my roll off I could wander the whole sky with the bino's while the scope and camera were busy. Now i'll have to step outside I guess! And where I was before on the coast with the roof open everything would be wet from the dew in an hour or two! That was annoying I won't miss that.

Noise

My dome is not motorized yet.It is on rubber castors and it is very quiet! Except for me on the inside huffing and puffing to push it around.
Just kidding it is actually quite easy to push!
But it is quiet!
talk about noise,how about a blow dryer going every hour just to keep the dew down thats what I did before with the roll off Obs.(I'm to cheap to buy a dew zapper!)
I think the dome will help keep the noise from my Lx200 down! It is rather noisey
