Strange spiral 'cloud'

Pretty weird alright. I don't buy the rocket story. I lived next to the Vandenberg AFB space launch area all my life and saw many strange (and deadly!) clouds form during and after launches and I never saw anything close to the symmetry that this cloud had! Very weird indeed!

More than likely it is IE giving you trouble. I would suggest looking into another internet browser. I dropped IE years ago. I use Firefox (because all the add-ons I can't live without now!) but there are others that are good to.

How old would a vintage laser be? I have an 18" Uniphase He-Ne tube that I have had for quite some time and was used when I got it. I wouldn't say it was "vintage". Just old! But I don't know much about lasers either.

NFL Overtime Rule?

I don't watch much sports and would not miss them if all pro sports disappeared completely. Not even sure why they have overtime! Do they have commercials left they haven't shown? wink

Could someone remind me of why ties are so bad.

I used to smoke. Quit a long time before the prices went crazy. Now that they are, anyone who continues to smoke is either rich or they must be crazy! grin
