Dave,  Don,

Looks awesome.  I noticed a few things with data that might be an issue.  I try to describe the behaviors, and give you a link to the spot where you'll be able to see the behaviors.  If needed, I could take screen shots and pass along.  With these first two bug/usability reports from me, I didn't feel screen shots were needed.  So here goes:

1) in this forum, the list of threads has a few very current ones - with updates listed as today.  Then there is one with March 22, next is March 10, and then a big break happens - the next post is from November of 2017.( https://www.astromart.com/forums/astronomy/everything-i-hate-about-astromart) I've noticed this behavior elsewhere in the old format.  Maybe just a database issue?

2) looking at the reviews & articles, when I click through a topic/subtopic such as Reviews/Binoculars/10mm to 70mm (https://www.astromart.com/reviews-and-articles/reviews/binoculars/10mm-to-70mm/show), I get a response with this

" 10mm to 70mm

No articles found."

this behavior/result occurs for every review and article category / sub category.  I guess the new database hasn't been loaded with the old reviews and articles, or perhaps the articles and reviews are missing the metadata to allow for their association with the categories/sub categories?

Oddly, then at the bottom of the Reviews & Articles landing page (https://www.astromart.com/reviews-and-articles) , a number of articles show up in a section called "Most Recent Articles".

WHY SO FEW REVIEWS OF EQUIP. LATELY?

John,

I agree with you.  It's really odd how during one period of time a number of years ago, many reviews were written and posted, but getting that level of critical review or comparisons of competitive products is next to impossible.

For example, find a review in the "Reviews & Articles" section on 10mm to 70mm binoculars.  None.  Actually, there are no reviews at all of any size binocular.

I find more on Cloudynights, but I appreciate Astromart for a variety of other reasons.

I was reading about the recent makeover of the website, and one of the administrators made mention of having huge amounts of data in an old database...and maybe getting that transferred to whatever data structures are being used for the new Astromart is problematic?

I'd love to see a comparison / shootout of the APM Semi-APO 90 deg 100mm binos against the APM ED-APO 90 deg 100mm binos.  But I see that APM is a sponsor and (this is highly UNLIKELY) maybe APM's sponsorship affords them/keeps reviews from being made available?

All the sponsors seem to be product companies - hmmm...
