Well folks, I wish I could tell you all what a deal this camera is, but unfortunately I'm stuck on page 9 of the manual trying to get my XP software to recognize a driver for this instrument! I was able to install the Maxim DL Essentials from the CD no problem. However when I connect the camera it pops up with the found hardware wizzard, where I follow the advice to "search removable media..." for the driver, but it comes back with "No drivers found". I then tried the other option to "Locate and install driver software (recommended)", but again no go. I also try installing the drivers from the CDROM setup window, both with the camera off and on, but no go. I locate the driver under c:\Program Files\Diffraction Limited and direct the wizzard to look there, but it says no drivers found. Finally I download the ASCOM driver off the Orion site, but it still will not accept anything.

If you've had a similar problem, and know the solution, I'd love to hear from you, otherwise I don't need to hear how simple your installation went!
