Re: A man of the people

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I just saw an article on the Fox News website where Obama states he is absolutely behind Daschle.

I want to give the man a chance, but all i'm beginning to see is politics as usual. Damn the other side when they do something wrong, but make light of it and try to sweep it under the rug when your side does the same thing. Neither party has a stellar record when it comes to wrong doers, but it stinks that Obama platforms on "Change you can believe in" and when the chips are on the table, nothing changes at all, it's just more of the same.

I don't know what's worse....the lame excuses these guys keep coming up with as to why they're having tax problems, or Obama backing them when he should be cutting them loose. No doubt, if he were still a senator and McCain had made these kinds of picks, he'd be beating the drum loudly for different nominations.

The politics of Census

Posted By Forrest Heinle

Everyone take a look at this. (Don't cringe, a little Fox won't kill you....maybe)

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/09/gop-sounds-alarm-obama-decision-census-white-house/

What do you think? Dangerous? Yes? No?

I find it incredibly odd that he would appoint a Republican as Commerce Secretary, giving the conservatives a bone so to speak, and then quite promptly yank away what is arguably the most important part of his job.

Partisan politics as usual? (Something Obama swore up and down he wouldn't do) or is he just trying to make sure the Census goes right? Or is he trying to make sure the Census goes "left"?

Interested in opinions since this could easily get swept under the rug with all the stimulus talk. I'm wondering if that might not be Obama's plan. Make a little power grab over here while i've directed everyone's attention over there.

Re: Could it possibly be?? Another tax cheat?

Oh come ON, Richard. They work SO hard for us. They shouldn't have to pay taxes. In fact, we should be paying them extra for doing such a good job. In fact, we should make their entire salary based on performance. That way they truly wouldn't be paying taxes because we'd be paying them nothing - in fact, they'd OWE us because they're working overtime screwing up our country instead of making it better.

Lack of Tea Party Coverage

Posted By Forrest Heinle

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jeff-poor/2009/04/12/kurtz-acknowledges-cnn-s-lack-tea-party-coverage-his-cnn-show

I don't frequent this site, i only found it through a Google search, but found the contents interesting.

Wanted to get everyone's thought on this. It's something I noticed even before articles like this were written. In fact it's something i've noticed for a long time now. It's been a staple of conservatism for a long time that most of the MSM is liberally biased. Those on the left ignore the bias of CNN/MSNBC and harp on Fox News, thinking they're brilliant by calling it Faux News, and insisting they are Right wing biased. Which, in fact, they are. What i find interesting in all this is that most liberals are too blind to realize that Fox is so popular because they fill a void that CNN and MSNBC leave open. Mainly, their insistence on not reporting on certain topics proves their liberal bias, much more so then what they do or say in the reports they do give. This article helps back that up when someone who realizes they aren't reporting on a topic as they should goes on the attack and tries to divert attention to Fox's over-coverage instead of dwelling on the importance of their own lack of coverage.

What i wouldn't give for a news organization that reported on everything, with no bias, and decided that maybe, just maybe, their viewers might have enough brain cells to take that information and then formulate their own opinion. Stop spoon feeding me preselected information with the goal to shape my opinion to your master plan. That goes for CNN, MSNBC AND Fox.

What if i were to say....

Posted By Forrest Heinle

... that i was only going to frequent businesses owned and operated by whites? How racist would that sound and how racist would that be? How badly would i be crucified by Sharpton, Jackson & the media?

Now read this.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,519965,00.html

How can we ever truly be an integrated society when the ones screaming for integration, fairness and equality constantly choose to voluntarily segregate themselves?

(Please note, this question is only that, i'm looking for opinions, not insinuations that because i'm asking this question i must be racist)

Obama's Supreme Court Pick

Posted By Forrest Heinle

Anyone remember all that talk Obama spouted about bipartisanship and new era of politics while on the campaign trail trying to garner more votes and look more moderate? Yeah, pretty much all lies.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/05/26/obama-announce-supreme-court-nominee-tuesday-morning/

All i need to know about this pick is that she upheld a rather egregious act of racism. Can't say i'm all that surprised, though.

Re: Obama = Bush

Wow.... i never thought i'd hear that one. Obama acting too much like Bush. Talk about being thrown under the bus when you step out of line from what the rest of your party is pushing.

Politics...always interesting, if rather disgusting.

FINALLY - Something i agree with Obama on

Posted By Forrest Heinle

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/15/obama-calls-kanye-west-jackass/

Too bad it has nothing to do with running our country......oh well.

But hey, at least he understands that this was truly an asinine thing to do, to anybody, much less a teenage girl.

NAACP - What a joke

Posted By Forrest Heinle

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/12/naacp-considers-condemning-tea-party-racism/?test=latestnews

This sort of thing makes my blood boil. They have the audacity to pull the race card while at the same time showing that they themselves are egregious racists who view everything through a microcosm of race and demean and vilify any African American who happens to disagree with their leftist agenda.

Here's where i first saw this:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,538799,00.html

And then from the Tea Party's own website

http://stlouisteaparty.com/2009/08/07/union-thugs-deliver-unprovoked-beating-on-black-conservative-at-carnahan-town-hall/

So this guy gets beaten up by SEIU thugs. (For all of you that hate Glenn Bleck, here's a note, he's been speaking of how bad SEIU is for months) Now, instead of the NAACP stepping in to help this guy, because he IS black after all...no, they do THIS:

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/07/caught-on-tape-racist-naacp-leader-says-kenneth-gladney-not-black-enough-to-protect-hes-an-uncle-tom-video/

Like i said, this makes my blood boil. What's worse? Main stream media won't touch this or the Black Panther story with a ten foot pole. Talk about in the tank.

Just imagine the MSM headlines, and how quickly the NAACP would be on this if it was an African American getting beat up by a white tea party member.

Main Stream Media

This could prove....interesting.

I was listening to Beck on this and apparently Tucker and his "Daily Caller" are refusing to actually release the documents they have, but are insisting they are real and legitimate.
