TOA 130 Collimation

Posted By Richard Higby

Has anyone had an experience collimating a Takahashi TOA scope? I am just about to tackle this as after a heavy bump stars are now Comets complete with tails.

Some post on other forums are conflicting as to whether it is possible or not. There are some indications that it is not practical with the TOA optical system. Returning the scope to Japan from Australia has to be my last and expensive option.

Thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Richard.
