Hi folks
I have a meade lx200 gps and I cannot communicate with it with it via com port 1.... I've set the baud rate at 300 and all other protocols are correct but still nothing. The system cannot find the port... any suggestions would be appreciated.....Meade is willing to charge me $500 to see if they can find the problem... I'm considering trading it for that other manufacturer (starts with a "C") if I can't get a reasonable solution...

I have a Meade 8" LX 200GPS telescope. At my age of 71, I'm finding it rather difficult to set it up so I'm considering moving to a more manageable refractor that will provide me with similar viewing. I have most of the optics and ccd camera, so I'm looking for the scope, tripod and mount. My budget is around $2,500(new/used).

Your advise and comments are appreciated.
