I have an older model Televue 2 inch diagonal. The optics are in great condition however the anodized aluminum body has started to fade. It now looks purple instead of black.
I know it doesn't mater in the dark, but was wondering if there was something I could do to fix it.

I just picked one of these as well. I have had one clear night but the temps were tooooo cold for me, so I have not had a chance to look through it yet.

I was seriously considering an 8 inch F-9 that Astronomics was offering at NEAF.
I really wanted it, and thought it would be a great scope for star parties and public viewing sesions. But I had to be very honest with myself. How often would I use a big scope like an 8 inch refractor. And would it realy show any more than my excellent C11...
I ended up buying the TMB130 as I knew I would use it much more often.
After reading this post I am so glad I made the decision that I did.
Thank you so much for sharing this information, and letting us know how Intane deals with complaints. You may have saved much heart ache for your fellow astronomers.
