Nagler 22 in 10" f5 dob

Posted By Craig Glaze

I was intriqued with fov, but uncertain whether coma would make such an EP a waste. Have used 45 deg. EP's in past. Does anybody have opinion?

Radian mang.

Posted By Craig Glaze

Hi I just purchased a new 18mm radian, my first radian, and I noticed its manufacture to be from R.O.C, I was expecting Japan! Is this normal practice, or should I be looking for one from somewhere else. Does anybody have any input?

Anyone have any suggestions on vendors for aluminum or steel tubes for 10" F5 mirror and which is better or does it matter, with what wall thickness.
Thanks

Side bearing dimension

Posted By Craig Glaze

I am assembling a 10" f5 tube dob, but I am not certain as to which size to cut the side bearings as to achieve the speed break effect of teflon on ebony star. Could someone please advise as to the optimum diameter or formula so I can get on with this project. Thanks

What do you think?

Posted By Craig Glaze

Going to make a decision between 17t4 or 20t5 for 10" f5 dob low end ep. With my eyes and backyard light pollution 27 Pan was a little to bright so I want to stay around 4mm for exit pupil size. Once tried 13t6 and found the er a bit short, but perhaps the 20t5 with an 18mm concave eye lens maybe Ok, but don't know. Cost and weight are not an issue. If some of the "been there, done that" people would commit it would be appreciated.
Thanks
