UPGRADINGPosted By Ken Blackburn |
I presently own a Celestron primium 80. Irecently stumbled upon this forum and have thourghly enjoyed the info and comments.
After the 1st of the year I plan on upgrading and have narrowed the field to the Meade LX90, LX200 8 or 10 inch. The scope will be mounted to a frame on wheels. Being an occasional user and not enterested in photography at this time, but wanting a good scope, I am leaning towards the LX90. Then use the $ difference towards either a TV 1.25",2"or Williams 2" diagonal. A couple of good quality EP's and maybe a super charge from Dr. Clay.
Any opions or comments on this will be appriciated.
Thank you, Ken

Video cardPosted By Ken Blackburn |
Folks, I know this is not a computer forum but, I can't seem to find one so here goes.
I am getting ready to replace a video card, that is when it gets here, and my question is do you delete the old video card info, drivers,ECT. prior to removing it or after you have replaced it. I am basically familar with the inside of this computer, that is I know where the card is and how to remove it but any other opions will be welcome.

Joe,
You are absolutely correct. Age has nothing to do with people going on about things, let alone not knowing the difference between offtopic and equipment forums. I stand corrected.

Which diagonalPosted By Ken Blackburn |
Folks,
I plan on purchasing a new LX90 in a couple of months. Sence I saved myself some money by illiminating the LX200,
I thought I would try yo optimize the LX90. It seems like I read, on one forum or another, that putting a 2 inch diagonal on this scope wont do much good as the back of the scope has a 1.25 inch hole. If that is true, and forgetting that there is a $70. difference, I'm looking at two diagonals, the 1.50" Teleview, Everbright-$190.00 or the 2" Williams( made for SCT.) $130.00. Any thoughts?

Has anyone had any experience with a 2x powermate. I'm curious as to the differance between it and a regular 2x barlow. There certianly is a differance in price.

Are there any star parties coming up in the southern part of Missouri or the northern part of Arkansas. I live in Branson Missouri and would like to attend one.
