Imagingsource firewire cameras

Posted By Dennis Kung

Hi All.

I currently own a unmodified ToUCam and have done some Mars imaging during last year's opposition.

Now I am considering the Imagingsource firewire camera, specifically the monochrome 640x480 models. I've seen great images from some of the members using these camera. I would like to get some more opinions before I commit the purchase. As I've heard these cameras having lower noise than the ToUCam, how is the sensitivity compared to the ToUCAm? Is it possible or has any attempt be made to modify it for long exposure?

Thanks!

Dennis

A sticker for Bible

Here is a sticker for Bible or Koran or whatever religious text:

"This book contains material on Creation. Creation is a myth, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully and critically considered."

Objective Proof

Interesting. A chorus can make you believe in God. By the way, which God you are refering to?

Hi. I have a question for you guys who use the LU cameras. When you capture at such high frame rate, do you get dropped frames at all? I found it hard not to get dropped frames. What video codec did you use to capture?
