Faith, concepts, books, ideas, religions....... do not change, define or create Reality. Ultimate reality is an incredible MYSTERY which can only be EXPERIENCED, but certainly not described in full by ANYONE!

Does anyone "think" that there may be any sort of existence other than in human form, not including classical ideas such as heaven, hell, soul or spirit? Is it conceivable that there are realms of existence that may be unknown to us because of our tenacious grasp of what we think we know 'for sure'? When I look at the Hubble deep field photos, I have to feel as if there's more than just birth and death. Can we extrapolate past the theory that we are Stardust?

I dislike labels and generalizations, but can someone who considers themselves to be an atheist give me a concise definition and maybe even elaborate a little? I'm trying to label myself! Ha Ha Ha.....Thanks.

It seems to me that philosophy is for the most part objective, and to a substantial degree, acknowledges the unknown.
And religion exists mainly on a subjective level, basically with little room for the unknown, and deals in beliefs that are taken as being definitive in a personal way.
Can a discussion about an unknown frontier, perhaps cosmology, include both vehicles at the same time?

Sorry if this question is a repeat, but have TV eyepieces, namely 40mm Plossls, historically had more than one location where they were manufactured? Thanks for any replies!

President Bush wants a nation of SHEEP.
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be brutally honest, I'm getting really sick of the violent video game, WWF, kick ass, Hollywood movie, throwaway American society, that produces "Shock and Awe" on the rest of the world. President Bush's deaf ears and cold heart will bring on the wrath of the clear thinking people of the world, and in this country.
Remember Lennon's "Instant Karma"!
P.S. I'm not leaving.

Did I miss something, or are the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq forgotten, or just misplaced? Seems to me that the focus of the whole attack was WMDs, but now since none were found, we just bury the dead and do our best to forget. It makes me feel as if the real war WAS about oil ,..... and a power grab.

Breaking news speaks of Saddam's two sons possibly being killed. What is the reference against which the DNA identification is established?

For the longest time, I have been unable to figure out the advantage of having only two political theories or conceptualizations of a working government or policy. Political and social issues are rarely "black or white", why should our personal inclinations be resticted to Democratic or Republican, liberal or conservative, left wing or right wing, pro-life or pro-abortion. The definitions of these terms seem to sometimes defy logic.

I am really alienated from this scene! Sounds like a recipe for confusion. I'm at a total loss as to the real usefullness of these generalizing labels, yet they seem to be a defining aspect of our ongoing American dialog!

Does'nt any real life situation need to be QUALIFIED? And does'nt this effectively throw out generalization?

The only answer I can come up with, is that it simplifies a complicated world enough that the common man can grasp it. Or maybe it's a vehicle for the media?

As the world situation gets more and more complicated, I think we need leaders who are able to transcend these self imposed limits on reality.

What do you'all think?

I'm sure there must be some very good reasons for the seemingly Saudi immunity from President Bush's wrath, even though the vast majority of 9/11 "terrorists" were Saudi citizenry. Right?
