Well, the dome arrived today, but not without incident.

You can see information about the arrival of the dome and a preliminary assessment as well as pictures on my site if you're interested. The URL is:

Mine was shipped out a week ago?!?! NOPE! I emailed with Sandy at the beginning of this week and she said it would go out before the end of the week of January 5th (next week). I also heard they were going out of town until the 5th and she promised the dome would ship no later than the 10th).

I'm slightly piqued that she indicated that the dome had shipped; I haven't received the total for shipping yet and have not paid the remaining balance.

If any of you want to contact me directly, feel free to write me at [email protected] and I'll respond ASAP.

Once I do get the dome, I'll post a FULL review of everything from the crating to assembly on my website (www.highvalleyobservatory.com).

I also should add in fairness, Sandy indicated that Jeff was working to try to ship the dome before the 2nd, and it was my idea to have her ship it by the end of the week of the 5th since they were going out of town. I didn't want to add to the pressure they may have been experiencing do to my indicating to her that my observatory is currently roofless in the middle of California winter...
