Nexstar Plus controller diedPosted By Don Dordevski |
I have had a CPC1100 for several months now that I bought used and all has worked well for me. While using the scope two nights ago everything went dark on the Nexstar controller. The power light on the on/off switch was also dark. Thinking somehow a fuse was blown I went to the outlet on the house and the green light was on the plug so nothing was tripped.
I went back to the scope and unplugged the Nexstar controller and the power light on the mount came back on. I plugged the Nexstar back in and the power light went off on the mount again. I tried the AUX1 and AUX2 plugs and the same thing. I know all these three are tied after talking to Celestron support so the problem may be there. The rep felt that it was not the controller but thought the Aux & HC board would need replacing.
Has anyone experienced the same issue? I'd hate to go about the costly way and start changing parts but at this point I may not have much of a choice. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Don
