I have a 12" LX 200 on order and I am looking for a nice case for it to sleep in during the days. (Hmm don't Vampires do that?) Are there any alternatives that anyone knows of to the multi hundred dollar cases? Would anyone know the measurements of the shippng foam?

Not having the chance to inspect the Meade and Losmandy counterweights I am looking for advise. Which one is better? Does anyone else make one that I should consider?

I just ordered a full aperture Kendrick Baader type filter for a 12" LX 200. Does anyone have any experiaence with these that they can share? I have been told that I need a 2" variable polarizer to use with it. Is this true? I must admit I am a bit spooked now as to the safty of this filter on this size scope. Please fill me in.
