I shall actually be visiting the USA tomorrow - Niagara Falls, specifically.  I'm lunching with a very good old friend who will be in Buffalo, NY for a few days.  We first met in Mongolia in 2008 on a  eclipse tour.   She is an American ex-pat who has lived for over 30 years in Bangkok Thailand working as an Opal buyer for many prestigious international jewelry firms.  Now she is retired and is studying to be a sommelier.  Doesn't let the grass grow, this lady... We always try to get together when she is near Toronto.

So I will raise a glass to the fallen as we do here on November 11.
