Another Covid19 Treatment: Ineffective

Q: Mr. President, you’ve spoken about your friend who passed away. I was wondering if you’ve spoken to the families of anyone else who has lost loved ones to COVID-19, if there’s any particular stories that have affected you?

A: Well, I have. I have many people. I know many stories. I’ve spoken to three, maybe, I guess, four families unrelated to me. I did. I lost a very good friend. I also lost three other friends, two of whom I didn’t know as well, but they were friends and people I did business with and probably almost everybody in the room did.

It’s a bad death. It’s a bad thing. It grips onto some people. Now, we found out that young people do extraordinarily well. That’s why I think we can start thinking about schools, but of course we’re ending the school season, so you wouldn’t be back for too long. I noticed where Purdue University, a great school in a great state, wants to open and have students come in. I think that’s correct. Some colleges, I think, I saw Harvard wants to have students come back in the fall. I would hope
that they’d have students.

I think that the whole concept of computer learning is wonderful, but it’s not, telelearning, but it’s not the same thing as a being in a classroom in a great college or a college of any kind. College, university, there’s nothing. You can’t replace that. Hopefully they’re going to be coming back. Young people do very well with this horrible scourge. They do very well.

I am going to see you tomorrow and we’ll have other things to talk about. We have a lot of interesting things. I don’t think we should have a news conference today because this is a news conference. In addition, it’s a celebration of these incredible people that have done such a good job and I think we found a couple of stars in this room today. I won’t tell you who, but there are a couple.

This guy right here is the biggest star in the room. Right? We’ll all agree he’s the … I vote. I vote for you. Great job you’ve done and I really appreciate it. I appreciate you being here. Couldn’t have done better.
He sounds shitfaced.

Perfect.

Calvin & Hobbes and Bloom County were probably my two all-time favorites. Inspired!

Covid-19 data and graphs

The death-rater from COVID-19 is higher than the only two other biggest killers of Americans cancer and heart disease.

Even if you do choose to ignore or dispute the deaths, it's impossible to ignore the economic damage caused by this world-wide pandemic. It's not a hoax. It's not a liberal-media invention designed to harm Trump. It is doing real harm, and it's frankly a little unbelievable that you seem to think there is no disaster unfolding in front of you.
I know this is anecdotal, but we contract with a machine shop on the east coast for some large aluminum assemblies.  There are 30 people in that shop. Covid burned through that shop a little over a month ago, and three of those people died from it. It's a relatively enclosed space with people in relatively close quarters. This virus is not something to dismiss. Enjoy that wedding!

This was on March 10th.
There's a bit of Darwin at work going on with all this. My advice is just believe the science (even if you can't do the math!) and ignore the politicians and conspiracy theorists. You'll be much better off.

You are too funny. You believe that MSNBC actually did that because you read it on the internet, and you repeat it here as an example of why you shouldn't believe everything you read. You need to follow your own advice.

It was created by some knucklehead on Reddit.

There have been many cases of pretty much the same thing that have proven to be factual.....for instance images captured at a testing ground in Kentucky being represented as having been attacks in the ME. That by one of the big 3 networks....their response when called on it? Ohh we are sorry LOL
When did I ever say that?

If something doesn't pass the smell test, it's easy to do a little research before posting it as fact. It took me all of 10 seconds to determine the source of that image (I'm not exaggerating). Reminds of that guy who posted the non-lethality of the 30-06 at range factoid he found on the internet - he just believed it because he read it.  Who was that guy?  LOL

Question #1:  Is it factual?

A. Yes

A. Yes

If answer to question 1 above is A, then print it.

My leftists news sources? Which ones are those?

Is this a critique of what I said, or just another one of your segues into a rant about people and institutions you perceive as left of you? Never mind, we all know the answer to that. LOL

Queue the long winded diatribe nobody will read.

That's a bastardization of the saying, however I don't care, it fits many in this country including you IMO.  Note that I'm saying IMO, Okay.

You've really never spoken up at all in the last year or so about anything that the left is doing that is SO damned destructive to this nation.

You never said one word about Comey and the railroading of General Michael Flynn, nor did you pipe up at all about the outrageous impeachment of this President which was wholly unfounded and without a single merit.

I just wonder why that is?

I don't need a response to that question above, it was simply rhetoric on my part.
'
BTW, have you said one single word about Judge Sullivan and his outrageous refusal to dismiss the case?

Maybe I missed it.

IMO, he should be referred to the Judicial conduct board for ethics violations.
You spend an awful lot of your free time "speaking up" here on this obscure political forum. Is that your idea of "doing something"? LOL.

Nobody will know anything with 100% certainty EVER, but do you think it unlikely that he caught it at a big rally full of people not wearing PPE or practicing SD?

No hypocrisy there eh?

Yet, the leftist governors all over the place are shutting down church services because they say that only 1/4 at best of the people who want to attend church are able.

Yet there were most likely HUNDREDS of leftist Democrats right there in a church paying their respects to their hero John Lewis.  All right next to each other NOT practicing social distancing.

I guess you don't have a problem with that do you?

Care to comment?

I don't have the slightest idea, but if I read that some of them contracted the virus I'll certainly wonder.

Enjoy your stupid argument with yourself.
