Here Come The Tariffs

Posted By David Cotterell

Remember my thread about the leopards coming to eat the faces of R voters and with D voters as collateral damage?  It got poo-pooed at the time.
Well, I stand by the overall concept.  Millions will discover the ugly truth of what they voted for and millions more will only be able to try to muddle through .
Up here in Canada we are mounting a stout ‘buy Canadian ‘ ethos and if we can’t buy stuff domestically then Europe, Mexico, Asia etc can be our source.

How did that work out for the hysterical liberals and the resident communist here??

Well, let's see, BOTH Canada and Mexico buckled under and will now comply with the demands of the United States to secure the northern and southern borders of this country.

Not only that, but within HOURS, the President of Mexico has decided to send 10,000 of her military to the lower end of our southern border and assist with keeping illegal migrants from crossing into this nation as well as keeping drugs out of our nation.

Thanks to President Trump, we now should see a more secure border both on the north and the south.

It only took hours to do so. The man is a true negotiator.

I wonder how many times the leftist Democrats here and the resident communist will fear monger and will learn their lesson?

My guess is that they will never learn.  They obviously are not that bright. smile

We are not the problem.  Regarding Fentanyl, how, exactly, is Canada supposed to search for fentanyl leaving the country?  We don't inspect the cars or luggage or whatever of those leaving Canada t ent er the USA.  That inspection, and therefore the fentanyl that enters the USA is entirely on the USA!

Some sobering stats:

Can you hear it? Sssssssh, listen! That's the sound of the leopards tippy-toeing up to eat the faces of millions and millions of R voters.

Bumping this thread.  Because the leopards are chewing the faces of 'surprised' R voters.

This is just ONE example.   Many more in the recent news.  And dozens more to come.

I know that I am not going to convince you because Trump is hammering at the guardrails so aggressively.   His executive orders are in so many cases bizarre, stupid, hateful, and poorly conceived.    On the underlying issue of judicial protection of the separation of powers and judicial curbing of executive overreach, I am right and you are wrong and time will demonstrate this.
I am buoyed by your faith in the durability of your system.  I sure hope you are right...

What, pray tell, is Vance on about in his questioning the legitimacy of courts denying the government's ability to act.?  Is he not advocating that the President should not be bound by the courts?

In this BBC article.....

What shall be done about the extra-constitutional presence of Musk? He is unelected, DOGE  is in no way official with no congressional backing. And yet, 'DOGE' is enacting all manner of closures and firings.

We all saw the chilling scene the other day, where one guy, not any sort of legal law enforcement officer, blocked the doors of a Government office and refused to allow the dozens of workers to gain entry.  He was acting on Musk/Doge orders, no doubt.

So are the Palestinians.

The two tribes have been there for 5000 years or more,  living side by side, sometimes at war and sometimes at peace.  Both are as indigenous as it gets.

That's why a two-state solution must be found.

OT: anyone watching the four nations hockey tournament??

Canada's goalie, Binnington, has been mediocre.  Not to take anything away from the US victory, both goals, from distance with no screen or front of net presence were lame.  He let a softie in against Sweden as well.  And Cooper has said he will play against the Finns tomorrow.  Yikes!
