Health Care Bill Teeters

For once, we agree Rod. This is going to be very interesting. It could end up being nothing, but everyone loves suspense and this Mass. race is full of it.

Ed Schultz encourages voter fraud in MA....

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I heard this on Glenn Beck's show this morning. I was actually rather shocked, simply because it's such a stupid thing to say. Then again, as we were talking about on another thread, the liberal double standard is well known and has existed for years, so Ed might just be assuming that his liberal buddies have his back, and no one will bother to report his outrageous comments. I CAN guarantee you this, if Limbaugh, Hannity or Beck EVER said something this wrong, the liberals in Washington (Pelosi, Reid, etc.) would quite literally be screaming for his head.

This is the topper...
Kennedy: "One thing the Democrats have done wrong? We haven't kept the focus on this disaster on the Republicans who brought it upon us. We've tried too hard to do that right thing, and that's to fix it, as opposed to spend more of our time and energy pointing the finger at who got us [here] in the first place."

This little snippet here is the purest form of insanity that i think i've ever heard someone utter. While i don't agree with their (Democrats) form of fixing, there IS something to be said for trying. This moron is basically saying that blaming someone else is MORE IMPORTANT than fixing our country's problems. How nice of YOU, Mr. Kennedy, to decide that scoring political brownie points should come before our country's well being. Sorry, but if you're unwilling to ever accept the responsibility of the office you hold, and that includes fixing up messes you insist you inherited from Republicans, than you don't deserve that seat and should resign for someone more qualified and deserving. I clean up messes caused by someone else all the time. IT'S WHAT I'M PAID TO DO. Well, Mr. Kennedy, that's what you and Mr. Obama are being paid to do. If you can't accept that, then go away, i don't want to hear the whining.

Obama Fights Back

Posted By Forrest Heinle

You know what the only problem with your comment is, Rod? It shows that you're being a partisan hack, just as you accuse Republicans of being partisan hacks. Why? Because your statement clearly shows that you think only Republicans are trying to score political points, while Obama's whole tactic with this is for one thing: TO SCORE POLITICAL POINTS. They recently lost a good chunk of political clout, they want to get it back or mitigate the damage. This is his way of moving that agenda along.

I AM NOT defending the actions of the Republicans. I think a lot of what they are doing is for political motivation. BUT, stop being so liberal loony for a second and THINK. If someone truly believes all of Obama's and the lefts ideas are bad, aren't they going to do ANYTHING, including filibustering like crazy, to stop his ideas from moving forward? So, what you probably have is a few Republicans with morals that actually do this for the right reasons, and the rest wet their finger, hold it up, and then go along because they think it's going to get them something.

That sucks. But to act as if Obama is some how not doing these same things, and that the Dems are somehow above all of this and don't do the same damn things is ridiculous. It shows you're no better, and just as blind, as what you constantly rail against on the other side.

That'll Teach Her!

We don't agree on much, Rod, but i know we agree on this. The world would be much better without this kind of crazy. Not all Muslims are bad. Anyone who condones or turns a blind eye to this needs to be taken to task. Permanently if necessary.

Golly, What Would They Pick?

Posted By Forrest Heinle

As per usual, by addressing them as "tea baggers" you show why your opinion should be lent no credence or weight. What is the liberal fascination with proclaiming to be for free speech and yet the moment someone exercizes that right and disagrees with your opinion, you instantly try to dehumanize and denigrate them so as to marginalize their opinion?

That bit of lunacy aside, you actually have a very good point. It shows just how silly and out of touch Palin really is. The whole point of the Tea Party movement is that neither the R's or the D's represent them anymore. Both parties are fully of self interested political hacks who only stick their neck out if they think it will gain them some capital, and who only truly represent their constituents when it is in line with their personal goals of increased wealth, power and position. The Tea Party is about choosing a new way, one where political appointees view their office as a way to speak for the voters, and to vote in the way they think their voters would want them to.

Now, she does have one point that is correct, though i'm not sure it's intentional or not. The two party system is a pile of crap, and people need to stop voting for R's or D's, but vote for the person that they think best resembles their morals and values, whether that person is a Republican, Democrat or Independent.

Hatch Outraged: Utah Land Protected

Posted By Forrest Heinle

While i love some of our national parks, especially some of those in Utah, (I remember traveling to Bryce & Zion as a young kid...absolutely AMAZING) it astounds me that things like this happen. The only thing i can think of is one question.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE 10TH AMENDMENT???

Deficit Hawks?

Posted By Forrest Heinle

Steve, this article just proves the point, you start being wasteful with your spending, your conservative base that donates all this money to you is going to ream you a new one for it. Nothing more, nothing less. It just goes to show how bad the Republican party has gotten that they resemble Democrats with their inability to keep their hands out of the cookie jar for more than two seconds.

So sorry, no need for excuses, Steve. Wasn't federal funds, and the conservative base is showing exactly what they should be, taking a politician to task for wasteful spending.

Got another quarter? Care to try again?
