Why should Bush release the Strategic Oil Reserve. There is no threat to running out. I can assure you that with Gas pushing $3.00 a gallon and more. That none of Bush's Buddies will become homeless or go hungry. We should be happy the the Bush cartel is making money hand over fist and is a further demonstration of how well capitalism works in this country.

Web Site looks the same to me. That picture of the scope on the front page is the 160 with the dew sheild extended. As far as I've heard on the yahoo groups the next new thing that should be revealed would be the replacement mount for the 400 / 600 goto which should Debut in Jan or Feb of next year. I have not seen or heard of any other scopes on the yahoo lists. Rolando is not talking 8)

I would not know about those who already have a 155 F7, I have one and have really no intention of signing up for a 160. Most people I know who got their 160's don't own a AP 155 F7. One person I'm aware of had a 6 inch F9 AP that was made in the early nineties He recently sold his F9 scope when he took delivery of his 160 but other than that I'm unaware that a lot of people are doing this.

Satan trying to discredit the Bible you got to be kidding. The Bibles only worst enemy is itself and an inquiring mind that is more than willing to apply some critical reading skills which sadly is really not taught at all in this country.

Tell me Sandy how much Science Education do you actually have. Forget about the science that was taught in the public schools what they taught was not science. I'm talking about science courses taught at the College or University level. Have you ever taken Physics or Chemistry where the minimum math requirement was at least College Algebra and taking concurrently Plane Trigometry where you are ready to take Analytic Geometry and Calculus I.

These so called fools you talk about are well beyound that and they are or at least trying to be honest with their findings.

I saw the movie month's ago, thought it was pretty good. Yes the Muslims from that era probably were more morally responsible than their Christian counterparts. What the europeons were after were conquest money and everything else that goes with it.

Since your not likely to find a 6 inch F6 mirror commercially available looks like you will have to grind and polish your own. Over the years I've managed to pick up several six inch blanks ranging is prices from $10.00 to $50.00 with about 40 hours of your time 20 hours to hog out and generate a sphere and 20 hours or so to generate the parabola you should be able to roll your own mirror and not have to be at the mercy of a vender or their prices.

Yes Richard it is true. Dick Chenney did have five draft deferments for going to school whilke Nam was raging. Yes had he gone he probably would never have completed college nor would he have ended up as CEO of halburton and of course he probably would not be our vice president. There are two routes you can go. One is to design yourself and square wave oscillator using a NE-555 circuit and that can use an RC circuit to lock in the 555 then you would need suitable IC's to divide down the pulses to around 60 hz. From there you could use a Switching transistor to feed a pair of 2N 3055's from these these guy's you can feed an appropiate Transformer with planty of Iron in it to step the voltage to 120 +/- 5 volts and that is what you drive your AC motor with. Somewhere I have a complete circuit board that I desinged thirty years ago sitting in one of my Junk boxes. All those Synchronis motor circuits use the basic design I mentioned. DOAA, Orion and all the rest.


2nd better idea and safer too. See if you cannot get yourself a stepper motor to replace your synchronis one I know they still make them I see them around from time to time. Then you should be able to adapt a Vixen or Orion single axis control and use only a nine volt battery to run it all instead of using a 65 Amp hour deep cycle battery.

Those older Drive correctors where sure current hogs. And very dangerous esp when there is a lot of dew. In thinking about it I would not even mess with them go with my 2nd idea.

I use an AP Baader unint and with them I have a pair of Televue 32's and from there I go to a pair of 18mm Radians then a pair of 13 Naglers the 1.25 inch variety and my highest power is a pair of 9 naglers. I've been told on Numerous occasions to use barlows and extension tubes with the bino-viewers to get the higher powers rather than shorter focal length eyepieces.

a little dust and or small nicks or scratches are not going to have any effect on the image. Its simply because the problem is well inside the near focus of the instrument in question. That is why you don't see the dust or scratches. It well however have an effect on contrast but for that to happen your going to have to have a lot of dust.

Excessive cleaning of optics can do way more harm than just leaving them dirty. Excessive cleaning can damage coatings even begin to alter the surface figure for those who can't resist the urge to really scrub
