My point was for somebody that is concerned with, "Recognizing unconscious biases..." you seem to determine the issues we discuss, China, the lab, the WHO, and others, solely whether or not they help or hurt Trump politically. Conscious bias?Originally Posted by James Lacey
I'm not quite sure I follow you, Mel, but let me clarify several things. First, yes, I can't stand Trump, and it's doubtful anyone could ever redeem him for me. Second, I am not naive enough to think that Trump is solely responsible for the inadequate response from the Federal Government regarding the Coronavirus. However, Trump is the leader of the executive branch of government, and as such, he wields considerable sway and power. Trump has the most potent bully-pulpit in the world, and his use of that influence affects outcomes significantly. And what does he do with it? Trump lies, and Trump rewrites history and plays the victim. Trump says he both takes no responsibility and has complete authority. In short, he squanders that influence, and instead of using it to unify and inspire, he uses it to degrade people and participate in divisive politics and spread disinformation. Lastly, I believe good people are working behind the scenes at the federal level, and certainly at the state, local, and regional levels that will make good things happen. However, they are succeeding despite Trump, not because of Trump.

Democrats should be very thankful Reade is talking about this. She is the person that will save the Dem Party. Who else has stepped forward with a good chance to stop the Dem Party from nominating this way too feeble-minded, old, white guy?Originally Posted by Jim MoscheckNeither.

I see CNN'S Cillizza is contributing to the cause with an op-ed saying, "...if he is doing more than talking the talk about restoring a higher standard in the White House, [Biden] needs to answer [these questions]."Originally Posted by Jim MoscheckNeither.
