Hi Brian,

Great shot. Very good resolution in the central bulge.

I took the liberty of playing around with it in Photoshop. To me it seems to magenta. My 2 minute attempt is below.

Hi Jim,

Thank you for posting this. As with many others I have had many disagreements with Jim, but I would like to add my wishes for him to make a speedy and full recovery.

Strokes are bad news. Yesterday I received the news that my father (92) also suffered a massive stroke. No idea on the prognoses yet. Will be out of touch for a while as I fly back to Oz. Also a very dear friend lost her father to a stroke a couple of years ago.

What I find most interesting here is that JG has been busy posting today about how fantastic McCain is and also trumpeted so loudly when one poll indicated that McCain was level with Obama, yet his silence here is deafening! Come on Prof..... tell us why these latest polls have it all wrong!

By the way prof.... I echo Rick's question about which "major university" you work for. No need to give us a link... just tell us the name. As a university professor myself, I know how easy it is to track faculty down once you know the campus.

Nice images. One question for you though.... how did you combine your M13 frames without saturating the brighter stars but still bringing out the fainter stars? globular clusters have been driving me nuts because of that problem.
