So I wonder what the taste in Americans mouths is after swallowing all these lies during Obama's Campaign after the vote last night. We will be living with ramifications of Obama's big lies for years to come:


- "So here's John McCain's radical plan in a nutshell: he taxes health care benefits for the first time in history... Well, I don't think that's right."

- "The main difference between my plan and Senator Clinton's plan is that she'd require the government to force you to buy health insurance and she said she'd 'go after' your wages if you don't."

- "I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

- "As Justice Louis Brandeis once said, sunlight is the greatest disinfectant. The more people know about how federal laws, rules and regulations are made, and who's making them, the less likely it is that critical decisions will be hijacked by lobbyists and special interests. I think the current administration knows that, too, which is why it's been the most defiantly secretive government in modern times. It's time to change that. When there is a bill that ends up on my desk as President, you will have five days to look online and find out what's in it before I sign it."

So let me get this straight, Lieberman says he has a problem with expanded medicare, gets Reid to pull it thereby making it so Lieberman could vote for it, and he's a traitor?

Nelson has a problem with the fact that it publicly funds abortion, Reid keeps the funding in yet gives Nebraska a sweetheart medicaid deal and he's a hero?

Strange days indeed.

I found it quite amusing in November when the Obama and the Dems were swept into power the number of people that expressed the same thoughts about the GOP being dead. If there's one thing surer than death and taxes, it's that the party in power eventually oversteps it bounds and the other guys come back in. I will happen again and again to both parties because power does that.

At the end of the day Obama will have a health care bill that is unpopular with the independents and the extreme left, an empty coffer that use to be full of political capital and a notch on his belt for muddling through on health care. Voters will start feeling the sting of higher taxes with no real tangibles for years to come and both houses are going to need to vote on extending the debt ceiling real soon. Clinton was able to right the ship by moving to the right, do you thing Obama has the political savvy to do the same?

The electorate has had a year of hope and change poop.....it's probably more receptive to the message.

BTW I do think Obama gets style points for telling his party to wait until Brown is seated to move forward on HC. It's the right thing to do and it makes me think that even he believes the American public wouldn't have a stomach for it. Good move.
