You bring up the "1st amendment".  I've not used the words "1st amendment" at all so far in this thread.

I'm simply stating the fact that your side of the political aisle is terrified of free speech, as they attempt to shut it down everywhere they disagree with it.

One of the places they DID shut it down was on Twitter.

Facts:

1) Twitter under the auspices of the former leadership "censored" speech.  That is an undeniable fact. They censored speech of people whose views they disagreed with.  They censored the story of the Hunter Biden Laptop provided by the NY Post.  They called it disinformation. We now know that the story that the NY Post printed was factual.

2) I never said that the censorship was "illegal" and was a legal violation of the 1st amendment.  When did I say that?  The correct answer is that I didn't.  

3) The censorship of free speech via Twitter under the former leadership was in spirit anti-American and aligned with how communist nations approach their censorship and shutting down the speech of their citizens.  Twitter was formerly aligned with communist China in their approach towards free speech.

Having stated those facts, I'm just getting a kick out of watching the "triggered" leftists here and everywhere get hysterical and work themselves into a frenzy over the idea that Elon Musk has opened the Twitter site up once again to free speech rather than censoring the speech that they don't agree with.

Most private organizations are much more limiting of speech than the government.  That is OK, but free speech is not really a thing in private organizations.  If it were, and if you had a job, I would encourage you to tell your boss what you really thought of her or him.  I wonder how that would turn out for you?  Jim

Son #1 is still a paramedic on an ambulance in a western state.   He called the other day to tell us he delivered his first roadside baby.  He said that made him far more nervous than the stabbings, ODs, fallen grandmas and horrible car wrecks he often is called to.  Momma and baby are doing great!  We are extremely proud of him.   I am not sure Biden gets the credit, but there is such a need for health care workers, especially nurses and paramedics, that he can get a job anywhere he wants with a phone call.  They are paying 20k+ signing bonuses right now for a one year commitment.   If this is Biden's economy, it sure is not hurting son #1.

Son 2 finished his engineering masters degree this fall.  He is entertaining a couple of job offers, and it is a tough decision to make.  Should know more in a week or two.  So much opportunity in his field.  Thanks, Joe!

Trump was right when he said in 2016 that he brought a lot of new people into the GOP, many of whom had never voted GOP in the past. This is part of the GOP dilemma. He obviously chased off many more independent, and principled conservatives, like myself and Jim, in the process 

Even if miracle of miracles happens and Trump is neutralized, will whatever is left and those willing to come back be enough to win a presidential election?
