You know Mel, it's the women who have had to be very careful when working with men. Look, real men and women of integrity can work together without having to worry about safety rails being in place. I know I've done it my entire career. There's an old saying right, the true sign of integrity is when someone does the right thing even when no one is watching.

I never said human nature has changed. However, men and women working together is the norm in professional settings these days, not the exception. Additionally, most companies take claims of sexual harassment, no matter which gender it originates with extremely seriously. Most companies make their employees go through anti-harassment training every year. Everyone knows what it is, how to recognize it, and how to avoid it. You don't even have to be the one harassed to file a complaint. You just have to witness something that makes you feel uncomfortable. That is the letter of the law and how serious companies take it these days. Again, men and women of integrity work together every day, whether it be behind closed doors, or while on business trips. It's not the 1960s anymore, and no one is living in an episode of Mad Men.

Mel,

This place can get contentious from time-to-time. I do my best to not take anything personally. I am sorry I offended you.

But, you are still begging the question.  Biden's performance in that interview was poor and it was obvious he is not ready for prime time.

I am not presuming anything. The point is, if Viva Frei, or your lawyer friend, or just about anyone were to perform a similar analysis on any of Trump's performances and remain intellectually consistent, they would have to arrive at even worse conclusions. You can't honestly be suggesting that Trump is "ready for prime time" are you? Unquestionably after three years of the Trump Twitter train wreck, no one can honestly believe this man is Presidential, can they?

The funeral music doesn't work, either.
One more thing, Reagan's fans won't like it. Still a bunch of them around.

Of course, the base is never going to move, but there are a lot of people who will be moved by these kinds of ads where it matters in swing states. I suspect tens of millions of people that have been negatively impacted economically by this crisis will also be persuadable. Older Americans who were or are trying to retire before this all happened won't need much convincing to realize they are worse off than four years ago. Then, there will be all the people that have been affected by the death and illness of COVID-19. Health care providers loved ones and family members and so forth and so on. You bet these ads will make a difference, and Trump is the gift that just keeps on giving. For example, reports are that Rick Bright is filing a whistleblower complaint with the HHS about the bogus coronavirus cure hydroxychloroquine.

The latest Dallas Morning News poll shows Trump in a tie with Biden. In Texas. Let that sink in.

Your post is along the lines of "well my guy may be bad, but yours is worse."  So what, the video had NOTHING to do with Trump and you floated a logical fallacy.

I similarly concede that Biden is yet another old white guy who is past his prime. However, you don't get to conveniently ignore the fact that Biden will be going head-to-head in the general election in November for the office of POTUS. If the video is saying that Biden is not ready for prime time, then sorry it has everything to do with Trump.

Similarly, I can't count the number of times where you and other Trump die-hards here have provided cover for, made excuses for, and generally stood up for what is undeniably the absolute worst possible person for the job. Like it or not Greg, it's a general maxim in US politics that the buck stops with the President. Additionally, no President gets the luxury of taking credit for the economy, unemployment, the stock market, and so forth, and so on when things are good, and then turn around and "take no responsibility" when things are bad. No leader ever enjoys that indulgence.

Darian,

Arousal is not a word I would have chosen; let's just go with provoked, shall we? Seriously though, Darian, have you seen head-to-head state polls lately? It is not looking good for Trump at all. Granted, it's early, the only poll that matters is the one in November, and so forth and so on, but they are hard to ignore. In FL, Biden is +3; in TX, it's a tie; in MI, Biden is +8; in MN Biden is +12; NV, NH, NC, OH, PA, VA all perennial swing states tell the same story. You can ignore it and poo-poo it all you want, but these numbers are awful for Trump.
