Even the wealthy ...

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I love class warfare.

When will people grow a brain and realize 100% equality will never occur. A system where the government takes from the rich and gives to the poor to force equality on everyone leads to only ONE thing. Everyone is poor EXCEPT the politicians who become GODS by exploiting the system to their benefit thus keeping themselves on a pedestal of power while they make the rest of us slaves to their "system". Of course, they will insist they are doing this for our own good.

Forced equality is one thing and one thing only. Slavery.

Pfizer: "Repeat Criminal Offender"

Posted By Forrest Heinle

Rod, i do realize that you LOVE to hate GWB, as do most left leaning liberals, but there is something you should probably note. I found this fairly easily by doing some web searches.

Pfizer has not been popped once or twice, but THREE times in a decade for illegal marketing actions. All three hits were under who?.... yep, you guessed it, GWB. The man whom you want to accuse of allowing all this to happen.

For those not knowing this, as the articles didn't mention it, Pfizer was nailed with this fine LAST YEAR, they've only just now agreed to settle it. Why is that important?? It means all the investigative leg work was done DURING the Bush administration.

So i ask you, if this is all BUSH'S fault for lax policies, how come was Pfizer pinned so many times while under Bush's watch?

Oh, and don't mistake me for some Bush lover. Far from it. It's rather obvious the reason Bush's approval rating was so low was because the libs hated him for the war and the conservatives hated him for just about everything else. I can't go with someone that says he's a conservative but won't secure borders and believes in bailouts and handouts.

(Please note, this doesn't change that Pfizer has been shown to be a scumbag company that promotes it's products in rather illegal and nefarious ways. That being said, there are probably several people viewing this forum right now that would be dead and gone if not for these dastardly pharma companies making some pretty innovative drugs)

Wanna Throw Up?

And we wonder what's wrong with our country when so many people are filled with so much hate for those that they don't even know even though they're positive their chosen sources of information have no agenda.

ACORN

Posted By Forrest Heinle

You won't see this get much play, Mark. This is a HUGE issue that is a rather large blight for the left, and the MSM is going to ignore it like it's the plague because this has "disaster" written all over it.

I did notice that they've already fired the people in the video, thus trying to portray them as "loose cannons". The only problem is that ACORN has been caught with their hand in the illegal activities cookie jar so many times that any logical person realizes that these sorts of directives come straight from the top.

Glenn Beck Article

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I thought this was a very well written, and fairly well balanced article. He brings up some very good points about Glenn Beck. Good & Bad.

I tend to trust what Beck says when it comes to facts, but i don't always agree with his opinions. Sometimes he goes too conspiracy freakish for me to accept.

I will say this. I've been listening to him long enough to know this is fact. A year to a year and a half before the stock market crashed and it was tipping 14,000, Beck said it's going to crash. Call me crazy, and plenty are, but it's going to crash and crash hard. And yes, just about everyone called him crazy, calling the facts and "conspiracy theory" type links he had traced together rubbish. Yet he was proven right. So very right.

So while many disagree with him, some hate him to the point of wishing death on him, but it's important to listen, because he has an uncanny knack for knowing what's going on.

War declared on Fox

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I cannot imagine why the White House is doing this. It's horribly insane. It puts them only a hop, skip and a jump away from being like so many communist dictators around the world who shut down a news organization because they don't like what they say. Now they aren't going in and killing anybody, you'll never see that, but they are in essence trying to do the same exact thing by waging a war of words and even enlisting the other media sources who they know are liberal and on their side to try to shut Fox down.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/18/white-house-escalates-war-fox-news-1925819282/?test=latestnews

What you have is several news organizations who ideologically agree with the White House and so are constantly reporting favorably of Obama's actions. While Rush likes to call them the state controlled media, i disagree in that he doesn't control them, their paths just happen to be in alignment so they work together to further their goals. I think Obama is taking a big gamble here. He's banking on the hatred the liberal news sources have against Fox being bigger than their intellect that would tell them if we help him shut Fox down, we could be next the very moment we say something he doesn't like.

That's what scares me in this deal, really. We have the Obama administration openly challenging Fox for no other reason than Fox reports on things they don't want reported and has opinion people who says things they don't like, and so they are trying to shut them down. This move REEKS of old style, USSR communism. (with less bloodshed, of course, which is probably the only real silver lining in this whole fiasco)

The Republican Way

Posted By Forrest Heinle

That would be why CONSERVATIVE talk show hosts say to ignore the Republicans, they're just as bad as the Democrats....probably worse because they SAY they're for conservative values, then turn around and pull a George W. Bush on us and promote things like bailouts and non-border security.

So you see, we, or at least I, don't want Republicans to gain power, i want CONSERVATIVES to gain power, the Republican party can take a long walk off a short pier for all i care about their survival.

Meanwhile, Back at the Gunstore

Posted By Forrest Heinle

Actually, at this point i'm much less worried about any direct assault on 2nd Amendment rights as most Dems, including Obama, realize the political suicide of such an act.

I'm much more worried about back door attempts to restrict gun ownership while leaving the second amendment alone. That way they can truthfully state that they aren't restricting your 2nd amendment rights while at the same time forcing you to give up your guns. Where do i get the idea they might do this?

Imagine a state that has a legislative bill currently running through the system that would REQUIRE a gun owner to purchase a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy for owning a firearm. Jeez, i wonder how prohibitive that will be to future first time gun purchasers? How much is that going to cost current gun owners?

Now what state do you think has this on the books? That's right, Obama's old stomping grounds, Illinois. Go figure. Yet we shouldn't be worried?? Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

Arnold is a funny guy...

Posted By Forrest Heinle

I read about this yesterday and couldn't stop laughing. I don't tend to like Arnold, but this was great. A not so subtle reminder that you can disagree with someone without being crass. You take it too far and they are liable to bite back.
