Could you imagine Frank Rich writing an editorial four years ago about how his paper, the networks and MSNBC were silent enablers to the hatred of Bush? It's laughable.

Release needed for better trade deal?

I work with a 26 year old and have an 20 year old intern who seam to think it was the "compassionate" thing to do since he only has 3 months to live reportedly. Being near Syracuse University, who lost so many students, and having seen numerous stories of local families anguish, I'm afraid releasing him in no way even registers on my compassion scale.

I have to admit, although I didn't jump to the whole Hitler youth analogy as Jim did, when I read about it the whole thing struck me as creepy. Reading the link with the document of how teachers should use the speech does nothing to reduce the creepy factor.

Also if hes fessing up to $200 Billion, that puts it around $500 IMO.

The point to me isn't are they able to handle it on top of everything else on their plate, its is more a mater of why is the WH spending time and energy trying to create a civil war between news outlets.

I can imagine the howls if the Bush WH would have trotted out Sr. staff officials on the Sunday shows suggesting that the press should disregard MSNBC or CNN because they weren't legitimate news outlets. Cries of Rove-Cheney conspiracy theories would abound and rightfully so. These strong arm tactics may work in a one party town like Chicago, but on the main stage it just make them look petty.
