Hi Charlie,

I wouldn't worry about it. Really short exposures like that are only good for planetary work. For which your camera is not ideal.. Send us an image with 3+ hours of exposure, processed with sigma reject. If these traces are still there then there is a problem. It looks like you have a prime imaging location. Could you tell us more about it???

Really nice shot Jason. Great job with the processing. The added detail with the narrowband imaging always impresses me. Someday I'll have to swap my OSC for a monochrome with filters. I get so little time to image though. My dome is located at my cottage (much darker skies) which is exactly one hour from my house. I get up there maybe one day a week if the sky permits. What type of observatory do you have?

I have reprocessed the data and tried to bring out more of the surrounding nebulosity. Which image do you guys prefer?

Nice first image. Lots of detail. How did you find focusing the NP-101? Is that a bit of field rotation I see in the bottom left hand corner? Did you try the scope visually?
