Ok, but that's the meaning I took when it wasn't standing alone. I think it was meant to be obvious, because I suspect it wasn't just you he was addressing.

The pope says it's the work of the devil. I'll take that metaphorically. I see the pope will or has gotten a letter from 35000 Catholic women and that was about a single case:

I don't know how members of the church reconcile this stuff when it's as pervasive as it is...

I'm amazed people continue giving money to this outfit, especially knowing where it's going.  This "church" has been hiding and shuffling these pedophiles around for years, and that takes money. Where do these donors think that money comes from? How do they reconcile that?  This isn't new news, either; it's been going on longer than I've been around.

It won't help. The more available space you have, the more stuff you accumulate to fill that space.  Case in point - I have an observatory, plus I have a spare bedroom piled full of astronomy gear (overflowing into the office).  LOL

I literally laughed out loud when I read that.  Unbelievable.

And now for something completely different!

I'll post something in observatories here and also they'll love the lift at CN - but you guys heard about it first!

Jim

Really cool! Do you find that you maintain polar alignment after raising and lowering the pier? I heard from a Pier Tech owner that his doesn't.

Cheers,

Brian

For visual, I used the AP polar alignment scope once and then looked at several objects - some at the zenith (M35) with the lift way up and some objects down low (Venus) with the lift low too.  Everything was in the field of view with go-to, so it seems to hold alignment well enough for go-to visual.  I forgot to check to see how much the alignment changed at different heights, using the alignment scope.  I'll do that next time.

Jim
I have a roll-off about an hour drive from my house under dark skies. It's really nice to be able to just open the door, roll the roof off, and get going with a scope that's polar aligned and ready to go.  You're going to love it.  That's a very nice setup you have there.

1000,2000,4000,8000, 16000, 32000...every 2 days! Exponential growth is a bitch.
It's the exponential growth that is most concerning. Also, the relatively lesser symptoms for young people don't really factor in the college's decision to close. They are worried that they can become vectors that contribute to the exponential growth that spreads to the more vulnerable in the population. Probably prudent on their part, but time will tell.
