Transactions can be not quite what they seem. I am new to astronomy and have bought a lot of stuff.
I have been selling a bit now. As a beginner, I judge quality poorly and have sold stuff that have I have bought as unused by me. While I don't advertise "mint", I state that it is as I got it. This all true.
Some of the equipment I have sold has been shown to be sub-par by the accounts of the purchasers.
At that pont I either return their money + shipping or work something else out.
ommunication is the key here.
However, I have seen e-mails lost, erased or just disappeared somehow.
No advice here, just relating experiences.

Minnesota Starwatch by Mike Lynch.
The Monthly Skyguide by Ridpath and Tirion.
These 2 are a great start tho not the traditional ones, I admit.

There are plenty of reviews if you search around.
I have two TV zooms and I use them quite a bit.
I find them useful for quick magnification when showing certain objects to new viewers.
Closing in on a lunar crater comes to mind.

I walk my dog every night.
Each year, after Deneb and Vega appear, I wait for Altair to appear rising in the East over the horizon.
I carry binoculars w/ me and the views of the Pleiades, the Coathanger, the Beehive cluster, the Double Cluster and the alpha Persei region never fail to amaze me w/ their beauty.
I also love seeing the moons of Jupiter (4 anyway) w/ my hand held binoculars.
I use 15x70s, 20x80s, 26x70s, 12x60s, and 20x60s among others. So many books advocate 10x50s but I've not enjoyed those as much.
I now have a monopod w/ Oberwerk 20x80 LW. Very, very nice even for lunar viewing.
