Where's Rudy?Posted By Mel Maki |
It is very difficult but important to keep more of a "farmers attitude" about our dogs. We get them, love them, they die, BUT, we have another one, and continually enjoy them all. I make some effort to not go overboard giving my dog human traits and emotions. I know a woman with a small dog she calls her "little man" and carries him everywhere. Not good for her or him. Should we really say we would be better off not having dogs because it is so sad to see them go? We need to "get a grip."
