Question.  Can people who did not vote in the Nov 8 election come out and vote in the Runoff? 

Suggestion:  Have a public, televised 'debate' between the two candidates where they compete side-by-side, answering questions from an 8th grade civics test.  Even better, let the test scores decide the outcome....

Asked it before in another thread but I'll go again - has relevance to this thread, i believe..

Assuming Trump does NOT get the R nomination what are the chances he will say, "Well, screw y'all, I'll run as an independent." 

I'm thinking there is a significant non-zero chance of this happening...

I'm  supportive of Trans people everywhere and always.  Nuff said, no need to go into details.  I'm a Liberal.

Except

When sports are involved.  This is a very difficult area to navigate and the various sport governing bodies are not handling it at all well at the moment.  Biological males, from about puberty onward, develop a far greater 'power-to-weight-ratio' than females.  Even post surgery and with years of hormonal treatments the male skeletal-muscular structure will still, on average, remain stronger than the female although the difference becomes less over time. Does it ever become zero? I honestly don't know...

So I do not think a simple declaration on day 1 from a boy at the very beginning of the transition process should allow that athlete to compete in the girl's race on day 2.  That seems to be what the linked article is bemoaning and I concur.  

People with medical degrees who know far more than me about the whole Trans process might be able to determine a suitable waiting period for boy-->girl transitions for athletics to be fair.  I know it isn't in the first couple of years.  But how long is it?  And what form or category of competition can a transitioning person find to compete in while waiting? 

This is a complex topic.

Doctors, individuals who have transitioned years back and now warn of the Dangers of letting Doctors remove their body parts when it is 100% irreversible, are interviewed.

Also, he interviews therapists on both sides of the aisle, and you'll see some doctors who address this fraudulent assertion put forth by the left that its either "let your child transition or they will commit suicide" as one poster here postulated.  

Total nonsense of course, as if those are the ONLY 2 choices for children going through puberty.  

The statistics show that the risk of suicide becomes much greater after a child transitions than before.  

I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to understand the situation better.  

I thought we were talking about trans youth and sports participation...

My prediction is that Trump will not get the R nomination in 2024 and then he will run as an independent, thus 'burning the GOP house to the ground'.
