I for one, am simply amazed that 2 out of 10 000 people who are attacked by a knife wielding assailant will survive the attack and that both of them are here on this forum!
You are in your right state of mind to be amazed, and the reason you are is because James is utterly full of shit, because he pulled his statistic right out of his ass when he made that ridiculous claim, saying that 99.99% of people would either be killed or severely injured, if they stood their ground rather than running as he would.
However, your inference was not accurate when you indicated that I survived a knife attack. That would be Greg only.
What I stated is that I'm the personality type who would be out front of my family and friends if we were confronted by an assailant.
I say this based upon experience of having been in a somewhat "gang" type of fight when I was younger and proceeded to foolishly take on a number of guys, while watching my so called
friends stand by and do nothing while I was getting it from all sides. LOL
That was actually about 44-45 years ago, so according to the old song "You find out who your friends are", I learned that lesson the hard way that day!
And one last thing, the reason that you are witnessing a person who was attacked with a knife being present on the forum, is because the odds aren't 1 in 10,000 surviving a knife attack, they are orders of magnitude lower than James's absurd claim.
The moral of the story is for you not to believe the claims made by the 2 resident fools here in responses #6, and #7.
They have decided that they will say whatever pops into their collective heads, when they haven't the vaguest idea of what they are talking about and they prefer to just make it up as they go along.
