Very nice, and I like the way the flash turned the background all black. I am surprised that you froze the wings at 1/60s. I was messing about with weekend and found I had to get up to nearly 1/8000s to really freeze the wings on a ruby-throated hummingbird effectively.

No apologies needed. This is a nice image; I have not yet been able to photograph a barn swallow and your image is quite nice.

Very nice, Ty! I haven't seen a Bobolink a number of years. They used to nest right near my house, not sure what happened. Looks like the whites were over-exposed. Did you shoot in RAW? You might be able to get them back.

You know, here in WI they wanted to change the status of wild cats so that they could be shot...like a wild dog or any other wild animal doing damage...but there was quite a public outroar from the cat-lovers. One of the experts that testified was Stan Temple, from UW-Madison, a highly-respected ornithologist. He testified that wild house cats kill over 10 *million* song birds a year in WI alone...
Now, the same people who would let their cat run free and kill birds would never let their child kill a bird...but god forbid they have to keep their cat in control for fear it get shot.
Oh well, very sorry to hear about the robins :S

Very nice, Jim! It looks a little too magenta on my monitor, however. You might try tweaking the color a little bit.
What is this Artemis285 camera--I am not familiar with it.
