Ya catch Leno's monster?

Posted By Pat Gillies

Yeah...the Tank Car. That is amazing. If it weren't for Jay Leno and shows like MCC, I'd never get to see some of this great machinery. Pat G.

Try this guy...

He makes several sizes for the Celestron scopes at very reasonable prices.

Deep sky viewing last night

Great report Brian. I know what you mean about getting a bigger scope. I bought a binoviewer for my 4" refractor and ended up buying an 11" SCT to compliment the BViewer. Pat G.

First light with the Denk Power x Switch

Beautiful rig Chris!

It is nice to read a report from somebody that has used the Power X Switch. It has been clouds and/or rain since I got mine. Maybe this weekend....

Wheely Bars

Posted By Pat Gillies

When you have the scope rolled into position, you crank down a levelling bolt located at each wheel. I'm sure stability is comprimised, but I don't really notice it for visual work with my NS11. Both my sets were obtained by placing wanted ads on Astromart. I have added larger wheels to both but I wouldn't venture out over grass with mine. Nice quality but frankly I think they are overpriced. If I ever get some spare time I will build my own and sell the others on AM. Hope this helps. Pat G.

Canadians purchasing from the States

Posted By Pat Gillies

Hey Dave, what Tim posted is right on. You are stuck with both PST and GST based on the price paid for the item as shown on your reciept. You will need a reciept and the seller should have no problem giving you one.

For me, a 10 hour drive (each way) would be a better choice than shipping. I have been watching the 15 to 16" Dobs as well and will eventually get one.

Good luck.

Eyepiece confusion

Hi Jim. With my NS11 and binoviewer, under medium city light pollution
I don't get much use out of my 15mm eps whereas my 19's see the most use.

The Ford GT is my all time, without question, ulimate, favourite car. You are a lucky guy and I hate you too...unless of course you let me sit in it sometime. Then you can be me best friend.
