Buying Truss poles

Posted By Bill Webster

Thanks for all the help guys.
Texas Towers will not ship anything longer then 6'.

I found Aircraft Spruce. They have east & west coast locations. They are great to work with and had everything in stock. They shipped the same day. The price was excellent also.

MASP 2006: any word?

Posted By Bill Webster

I recieved an email from John Dilday the other day.
It seems that he and the Boy Scouts have a scheduling problem. MASP 06 will not be at the normal site this year. I do not know where it will be at this time but according to J. Dilday the show will go on at the same time.

Nebula filters

Posted By Bill Webster

A little research will help if you are trying to decide what filter will work on what deep sky object. The Lumicon website has some fantastic graphs showing why a certian filter will work and why it will not.

I have used these graphs several times in my club meetings to explain why one will work and one will not. They also show just how close the OIII and UHC filters are to each other.

Hope this helps
