Jeff, it is M53. Appears you may have a collimation problem due to the out of focus stars on the left, redo collimation of primary and secondary mirrors. Also check that there is no sagging of the camera mounting hardware.

You just missed it! sad That object is NGC 1931. The comet is just north of your FOV for that date (see image). Tonight it will be in that field. 18 Apr, 3:00UT it will be at the NE edge of M36.

Interesting thread, the Honders may have 7 optical surfaces, in reality my two fast Newtonians has 6! They will not work properly without the achromatic field flattener!
Nice wide image.
