Rosette in Black & Whitw

Here a photo I took about 12 years ago
of the Rosette Nebula.
This is no way as nice as Chris photo.
This was a 2.5 hour exposure on Hypered 2415 Tech Pan,with a #25 red filter,Celestron Comma Corrector,Nikon F-3 camera,a 10" f-3.85 Newtonian telescope ( I made this mirror )and
taken from my light polluted backyard.
The negative was scanned by Photo Cd Imaging.
Most of the personal imaging equipment back then wasn't good enough to do it your self.

NGC 2244 Rosette Nebula

This is the original shot I took of the
Rosette Neb on 2-18-06.
This is a 45 minute exposure on Kodak E-200 film,taken with an AP 155mm scope,
Field flattener,Pentax 6X7 camera.
This shows how bad light pollution is getting at are dark site area.
I will post a 2nd in which I adjusted the
back ground and color.

Gulls over the Rock River

Here are 2 shots I took of some Gulls flying over the Rock River,just South of
Rockford,Il.
The photos were taken with a Nikon F-3 camera,Simga 400mm F-5.6 lens,Fuji HQ 400
film. No auto focus,just the old manual.
The 1st one is the original and the next 2 are cropped.

Here a shot I took of what I thing is a
Swam. There usually 2 of them ,but always swimming with the geese.
The picture was taken with a Nikon F-3 camera,Kodak E-200 film,and a Simga 400mm F-5.6 lens.

My first attempt at an Eagle or Osprey

This was my first attempt at photographing an Eagle.
I stand corected not an Egale but an Osprey.
I was heading to one of my fishing spots and saw it.
Remember I'm in a moving boat with an manual focus camera ,thats right no auto focus or image stabilizer.
The photos are a little soft.
Camera Nikon F-3,Sigma 400mm F-5.6 lens,
Kodak E-200 film.

I believe the cactus is called a barrel cactus the other is a Cymbidium Orchid

Finches on Hummong Bird Feeder

Here are a couple of shots I took of
a pair of Finch on my Humming bird feeder.
These were taken through the kitchen window with a Nikon F-3 camera,Simga 70-200mm lens,Fuji Astia 100-F film.
These aren't as good as you guys with the
digital cameras get.
