Sorry guys, but after such a long time I had to post this image. I'm still experimenting with the Lumenera color and I am a little ashamed (actually very ashamed) to post this after what we've seen from Wes. But I also thought that, if I wait to have something comparable to what many of you do here, I may never post again.
I processed this avi without thinking it would turn out at all since the seeing was awful. It is better than I expected, but far from good

Nexstar 11 GPS
Powermate 2.5X
Lumenera 075 RGB @15fps, gain at approx 30%
300 of 1500 frames aligned, stacked and processed (only a little unsharp mask) in Iris. The rest of the frames were unusable.

Feel free to comment, re-process, criticize.

Second light Lumenera color Posted By Gianluca Valentini

Well this time the seeing at least co-operated and the mighty Plinio Camaiti, Italian top imager, was with me (perhaps that's why the image is noticeably better than my standards). Furthermore, I don't know if it is orthodox to "first light" a mount, but, if it is, then it was also my AP1200 first light.
However, this is the result of the first avi (I've got 8 ).
Details:
C11 @ f/25 on AP1200
Lumenera RGB @ 15fps
stack of 500 out of 1500 collected
processed totally with Iris 4.35 (great stuff): only a little unsharp masking and light wavelet.

Yet another Jup-fair seeing Posted By Gianluca Valentini

Hello guys,

there was a seeing alert for last week end and somebody got lucky (Paolo has had 8-10 seeing conditions, so expect a wave of great stuff coming in).

Well I didn't! In my seaside town the currents from the sea spoiled everything and while others enjoyed perfect images, to me Jupiter looked as if it were painted (badly) on a black flag in strong winds :C

But I got lucky because I was out imaging on Thursday and the seeing cooperated, so I took some decent avis and this is one of the first out of the processing machine . It was an attempt to do LRGB with Paolo, but his video turned out bad, so you must be content with an L-less LRGB


All data are on the picture. I'm still not very happy with the 7000mm focal lenght as I feel my images are a bit undersampled. The day after these images I received a Zeiss barlow that I could push to 3X, but the seeing was bead so results are a bit depressing. I will be posting them soon anyhow to know your opinions.
