Binocular CollimatorsPosted By Scott Baker |
I just had two pair, Celestron 8X56 Ultimas and Oberwerk 15X70's, done by the repair department at Oceanside Photo and Telescope. They completely disassembled, cleaned, lubed and collimated the pair and they came back beautiful! The cost was $59.50 for the Ultimas and $74.50 for the Oberwerks.
Teaches me to get better cases before going on a cruise with them. Between my teenage daughters handling and the bangs and bumps getting on and off airplanes, they were unusable after the trip. I think I'm going to get a small suitcase and cut some foam to fit both pairs to at least protect them to and from the destinations.
