Something new showed up at the feeder today. Must be all that new black oil sunflower seed I put out. I've never had one of these on the feeder before. They usually stay at the lake near my house but never come into the yard to feed. He was here all day today. -Kurt Horsley

Well, I've hit a new low. Tyler is posting amazing pictures of trophy deer and all I can come up with is a squirrel. That's what I get for living in the city. Astronomy isn't any good here either. Check out that nice blue sky. It's amazing what a polarizing filter can do for digital imaging. -Kurt Horsley

I see half a dozen birds that look like this on the chart. Anyone know for sure what it is? It was photographed Saturday, 5-11-03 in north Texas. The yellow color was even more intense than in the photo. -Kurt Horsley

Ducks at sunset. The round "sun" is actually the product of lens vignetting. The sky was a beautiful gold color so it came out looking like the sun itself backlighting the ducks. -Kurt Horsley
