Sky 90 v. Sky 90 II

Posted By Brian Richardson

The "main" visible difference between the two is that the Sky90II has a sliding dew shield and a shorter tube, thus the "NSV" on the end. ...I think smile

Spring- Deep sky or deep something

Dreaming about what is behind the door :-)! I would be out in it even in the snow... drooling... Do you have photos of the inside? Street address? Maybe tell me where the spare key is? I would be happy to clean up smile

Email Notification When Support Ends?

Your note reminded me that mine is close to being "due". An email would be nice, Just *DON'T* call it an invoice!

Utterly dissapointed

This is *NOT* Ebay. Send the sellers name and the email that describes the condition of the scope to Herb. State what you received. Keep it brief and to the point.

Of your money is not returned (including shipping) FAST post the sellers information so we can stay away from him.

Even if the guy gives you your money back I do not think that any of us want to deal with him. You should not "feel" the way you do. BS!

Ivan,

A GREAT image! I took it thru Photo Shop to remove the gradient. What do you think of the attached "after"?

Here Is My Latest Attempt at an Image

Posted By Brian Richardson

Many thanks for all of the replies especially Dan Kowall for pointing out what I did not do a good job of. I will reprocess the data backing off on the sharpening because, well, it looks like h#ll.

Another issue that has been brought up is the spikes on Alnitak. The uglies around the perimeter of Alnitak has been caused by the sharpening technique that I used but the spikes are really puzzling me. Prior to the Meridian Flip none of the FITS masters show the spikes but everyone of the FITS master after the Meridian have them. Anyone have any ideas on what could have caused them????

Many thanks again!

AP3600 Portable

Joseph,

A very nice rig. The portable pier looks very fitting for the mount.

The 60 is enough to align it and I would like to see what you have on top of it for day to day use.

I am still waiting for word from Roland on my portable mount (MACH 1) but it is not in the same league as yours.

Great Job Jeff! It looks like ALL of your gear did the job. 30 Minute subs are a tough nut to crack, you did well! Great processing job also.
