Raven

Posted By Chris Nardone

I took this at the Grand Canyon. Some people from "Hawk Watch" put the decoy owl up to attract raptors. This Raven was swooping the decoy to check it out. Earlier they had a Hawk do the same.

Boring bird, interesting photo?

I was out looking for interesting migratory birds and this Grackle showed up and posed. I liked the background (construction barriers) so I snapped a couple of shots.

Osprey

Posted By Chris Nardone

I totally blew it here. I had the camera set at ISO 1600. I don't know how/why that happened. Anyway, I used some gaussian blur to reduce the grain. I didn't bother doing too much else, since I didn't think it was worth it. Does anyone have a good grain reduction routine in PS?

Crested Caracara

Not the best shot. When they're on the ground the lighting and contrast is always poor.

Red-tailed Hawk

Is it a Red-tailed possibly Krider's variant? Or is it a Ferruginous?
