Why do you oppose drilling for oil?

Posted By John Wemesfelder

Drilling is the normal method. I would propose that those who would wait for climatic conditions to precipitate petroleum products, might have better luck if they were to hold their breath until their collective hearts stop. 8)

Hi Jim,
Get well and come back soon. Without your postings the Lefties just might fool the American Public, and win the election!

Tax Cuts

Posted By John Wemesfelder

Mike,
They won't be paid for, and none of the politicians who rely on votes to get re-elected are going to tell you that.

Our system of government is broken. It has been broken by greed. Until there is a complete reorganization of campaign reform laws....and not just some Bull Sh.., phony effort to appease the voters, we're all in for the ride of our lives down the slippery slope.

It is ever-so-convenient that there is no mechanism within federal law for citizen based initiatives. The crooks in Washington spew sound bites for the media, and go back to the floor or thier offices, to dance the tune played by big money donors.

If I were just a little bit more cynical, I'd suggest that the next congress of the United States might see a bill introduced to do away with those pesty, money wasting elections.

Surprise! Famous Marine doesn't like Obama

The last time I spoke with Lee Ermey(1989), he still put his pants on one leg at a time.
I could show you my saber, and hat(1969), but you wouldn't be impressed, 'cause you haven't seen me on television.

AZs Gun Laws

Posted By John Wemesfelder

Anyone remember? Pres. Reagan was surrounded by Secret Service agents on the day he was attacked by John Hinkley. How many shots did the assassin get off? -6- How many did the Secret Service get off? -0-

Six rounds fired by the assassin, and four of them wounded four humans. Despite the intensive training by the agents, there was no return fire.

On January 2, 2011 Deputy Hopper was shotgunned in Ohio. Subsequently, other officers went to the scene to apprehend the shooter. In the assault on the travel trailer, another deputy was shot. Despite his intensive training, his immediate response was 'flight'. He went so far as to throw his pistol to the ground as he was scrambling out of the line of fire. The wounded deputy's actions were those of a trained Peace Officer.

This is disturbing...

Posted By John Wemesfelder

This is very disturbing news to Mr. Pearce of Arizona. He is quite concerned that the Mexicans who are sneaking across the AZ/Mexico border, are learning Arabic in order to fool the BP agents.....Oh wait! Maybe we need another law....Let's see, maybe we stop people based on their hair color, or maybe the way they dress, or maybe their eye color, or maybe their accent, or maybe their facial structure. Oh Heck! Let's just arrest everyone!

Returning federal lands to states

Posted By John Wemesfelder

Before anyone gets all puffed up over this, do yourself a favor, and research the terms under which the 'wanna be' states were allowed by the federal government to become states. You Texans are the one and only exception to the rule. That's the extent of the clues that will be given.
