EV boom in Oz. Thanks to Trump

Posted By Maurice Clark

Electric vehicle sales are booming in Oz. Will not be long before they outnumber petrol vehicle sales.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-08-05/tesla-hits-record-in-july-as-ev-sales-close-in-on-petrol-cars/106996416

I love this comment from the article... "If you were to have a poster of the greatest influencer when it comes to EV take-up in Australia, it'd have Donald Trump."

"It's incredible what a year in a war will make," said Rebecca Huntley, a social researcher who recorded a significant jump in support for EVs."

Tell us Rich, do you support taxpayer funds for Trump ads, including the latest one entitled, "God Made Trump"? Would you support taxpayer funds for a Democratic campaign ad entitled, "God Made Biden"?

Tell us Rich, do you support AG Blanche being a WH spokesperson addressing questions from the media from the Rose Garden of the White House? Would you support a Merrick Garland doing the same under a Biden administration?

Tell us Rich, would you support Trump declaring a "national emergency", "insurrection" or "martial law" if the November elections don't go the way he likes?

Tell us Rich, would you support the idea of providing $5000.00 to eligible USA adults if the proposal came from a Democratic presidential nominee?
Deafening silence for richie! How surprising.

The Democrat Party has become the party of Hasan Piker and Abdul el Sayed, and is now the party that has become anti-Israel, anti-Zionist, and Anti-American

You are a hypocrite.
Jim, I think you just insulted hypocrites around the world by comparing them to richie.

I noe that he still has not responded to the questions posed to him on another thread. But since we know he will never respond to those questions, I will give him another. Tell us richie, Do you support trump doing a deal with Russia on diesel?

The Republican Party has become the party of Vladimir Putin and Trump, and is now the party that has become pro Russia, pro Iran, anti Ukraine, and, yes, anti-American.

Also interesting Rod, is the fact that China does not permit foreigners to take bar exams there. Her latest position is that she has "all the appropriate credentials" to practice law!

Election predictions

Posted By Maurice Clark

With the election just over a week away, let's see your predictions.

For mine, I am a little sceptical about the expected blue wave. I think the democratic party will retake the house,  but I doubt they will retake the senate.  States like Iowa,  Texas, I think will disappoint the democrats again, so I predict the senate as 50 each.

What do you all think?

Sounds like a great trip James. We are currently in Penang,  my wife's hometown.  Hot and humid with heavy rain since last night so we are just staying in the house today.
