Wide field M13

Nice work Peter! I am just getting started with a Canon D30 I bought used...would like to take a crack at M13. I have a Celestron ASGTO mount, tracks well when correctly Polar aligned.. What exposure time do you suggest I start with, and any other tips I would really appreciate. Thank you, John Meiners, Astoria, OR.

Who's your daddy longlegs?

Not sure where to pose this question.. so I will try several forums: What would be a better a route to take with my CANON D30... purchase a 80mm.ED refractor and use an adapter to mount my camera to, or buy a Telephoto lens like a SIGMA 50-500 and attach it... (will be using for Birding and wildlife shots, thanks for any suggestions, JM

Rod, maybe you can shed some light on these questions: Here is what I want to do with my Celestron ASGT CG5 Mount; I would like to be able to read the Right Ascension & Declination from the hand controller. I realize that this would have need the alignment procedure to be completed.

I would also like to have the clock drive running without having to go through the entire alignment steps once again.. thanks for any suggestions you may come up with... John Meiners
