World Class Stonewalling

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

It appears that some of the memo's may be bogus, but the facts are not.

It is becoming VERY CLEAR that Bush ignored a direct order to take his flight physical.

The secretary for Bush's commanding officer said that she does not think that the memo's are authentic, but she is sure that the information that they contain is accurate. She is certain the Bush violated a direct order to take his flight physical. Her memory is accurate on this subject because it is almost unheard of for any military officer to disobey a direct order. She went on to say that it is clear that Bush did not think that the rules applied to him. Even in the "flying club" for the rich and famous he was above the rules.

The secretary is a very well spoken 86 year old woman who was very clear on the facts.

Who made this statement?

ANSWER - Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Richard Lugar, R-Ind

Bush surrounded himself with aides who were blind to reality or didn't want to know the truth. He bought it hook, line, and sinker and took us to war.

Hagel, Committee Chairman Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and other committee members have long argued — even before the war — that administration plans for rebuilding Iraq were inadequate and based on overly optimistic assumptions that Americans would be greeted as liberators.

But the criticism from the panel's top Republicans had an extra sting coming less than seven weeks before the U.S. presidential election in which Bush's handling of the war is a top issue.

"Our committee heard blindly optimistic people from the administration prior to the war and people outside the administration — what I call the 'dancing in the street crowd' — that we just simply will be greeted with open arms," Lugar said. "The nonsense of all of that is apparent. The lack of planning is apparent."

Jim, IMO you are the biggest hate monger on this board. This is not the only time you have openly admitted that you purposly attempt to anger and insult those who disagree with you. IMO, you have proven yourself to be a hypocrite who values derisive tripe over intelligent discourse.

Support our troops

More than $1200 has been collected and it looks like Herb is providing the scopes for our troops at below cost. It's a great chance to show some of our troops that how much we care. Lets be united on this one!!!

Congratulations

One funny thing here in San Diego. It looks like Donna Frye, a surfer type female Democratic WRITE IN candidate, may win the mayor's race against two traditional Republicans. How embarrassing!

She leads 35% to 34% (& 30%), but since she is a write in, 120,000 ballots must be verified by hand.

California also approved $3 billion for stem cell research.

That's Outrageous

Posted By Tom Rodstrom

This is an acutal e-mail I recieved in the evening from someone just out of school I had hired that morning:

Tom,

This is to inform you that I cannot accept the position that you have hired me for. While I feel a deep-seated sense of guilt at having told you that I would work for you and am now reneging on that deal, especially after you bought me a taco, I simply cannot bring myself to work once more under conditions which have previously driven me to the brink of insanity. Namely, eight-hour work shifts, forty hours a week, early EARLY in the morning at a time when I would never in my right mind choose to be awake (a very human fact which I think the entire business world needs to take a long hard look at). In addition to this, tack on an hour or so for the commute and my work days would be my own personal idea of Hell. I wish that I had given this more thought before accepting the position offered to me, but it took the entire rest of the day to come to the conclusion that this is not for me. I apologize sincerely for any trouble I have caused you, and I wish you the best in your search for a proper candidate who will not back out on you like this,

most sincerely,
..............

He was to start at 8:00 AM.
