Well, it appears Arizona lawmakers interpret the 14th amendment from an "originalist" point of view. To wit: ..."it's irresponsible and foolish to bestow citizenship based upon one's GPS location at birth." Well, what do you base it upon? It appears the AZ lawmakers interpret the 14th amendment to mean those people born in the US and "subject to the jurisdiction" of this country which, they claim, doesn't include illegal immigrants. Interesting take on it but it'll be thrown out of court.

Wow, Republicans sure are good at alienating voters. By 2012 there should be a cross-section of at least .5% of the voters pulling the "R" lever.
I'm confused, I thought everything was about jobs, jobs, jobs. Not abortion, birth certificates, and anchor babies. Since taking the House, Republicans have taken the path that led Dems to defeat, the one that doesn't concentrate on jobs and the economy. They were voted in to address fiscal issues but are taking advantage of it by taking care of long-sought social issues instead.
And god bless Utah, they found time to officially designate, through law, the M-1911 pistol as the "state gun". Congrats Utah for being the first state where elementary school kids will have to learn what the state gun is along with the state bird. That is so cool. :S
